A Moment in Wonderland

Second night of Engine Performance class and already Im receiving shop experience time. I had the chance of driving a donated car inside the shop from a Toyota/Lexus co. and guess what kind of keys I had my hands on.

Yes. A Lexus Gs 450h. And yes, Lexus may be known to be a low budget luxury car, but a car is a car, and if it looks great, then it looks great. Actually, it didnt have a key. Instead, it had a key fob meaning you keep it in your pocket and as you sit on the driver seat, the car will automatically know your there letting you and ONLY you to push the power button.

It was pretty funny how I found the car. I walked through all the cars while pressing on the key fob and scanned for blinking lights at the same time. Then all the way at the end of the parking lot (lot 2), a pearl white paint with its back end facing me, sat there all alone at this specific spot with all the lots to its right was empty as if that whole row was ment just for her. I got in. Smelled like new. Front seat adjusted. Got comfortable. Then I took my time and just sat there in awe. I wanted to push all the buttons, pull every lever, and feel its massive touch screen. I honestly dont know how to describe its drivability. All I can say is that this one was different. The wheel responds to every muscle you move when steering, almost like it knows exactly where you want it to go. Finally, I lead her to the shop. Safe to say, this night was the only night when I thanked god the speed limit in the AT parking lot was 3 mph.

I guess Ill blog about other interesting (i.m.o.) cars Ill encounter in the future. Meanwhile, Ill stay busy with the MR2.
